Head Start is available throughout Wright County and western Hennepin County to income eligible children ages 3-5 and age eligible children with special health, developmental or nutritional needs.
The Head Start program supports the development of children ages 3-5 with services that promote school readiness and parent engagement, while also helping families connect to a larger community network. Through community based child and family development programming, we provide a variety of learning experiences to help children develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. Activities focus on developing language, literacy, creativity, math and science skills, social function and more. Students and families enrolled in Head Start also receive health, dental, and nutrition services, and community resources and referrals. Transportation is also available for some locations. Head Start provides services to all children, including those with special health, developmental or nutritional needs.
